“To the readers of this story, if you find yourself in a dark wood, without a match to light the way. Be your own light.” 💭 My thoughts The prose in Winterwood is the kind of prose I very much enjoy. I love when authors detail the atmosphere so thoroughly that I feel as if I'm there. Shea Ernshaw shows so much talent in that aspect, but the plot itself felt a bit predictable and simple. The characters didn't pull me in and while I love a beautiful setting, I love a well-developed character and background even more. With all of that being said, this is a perfect winter mystery and I certainly want to try some of the author's other books. ⚠️ Trigger Warnings Graphic: Death, Fire/Fire injury, Bullying Moderate: Murder, Alcohol, Confinement Minor: Death of parent, Car accident, Abandonment [Follow my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/inkstainedemotions?igsh=aTh6eTZ6dGwxMXpy&utm_source=qr)
