Amalia is a hit woman for her Uncle's cartel. She was sent to NY to negotiate for port access with one of her uncle's men. I really liked Enzo, though I wish their relationship had more depth. Enzo spies on her and finds out that a kidnapping plot for his sister & sister in law is a possibility. Misunderstandings arise. Amalia is suspicious over the truth of her parents' murder after someone she was sent to kill alludes to their murder before going to NY. She is in a hurry to get back to Florida to find answers. But it looks like there is a plot afoot to get rid of her as well. She gets in over her head in Florida, but Enzo is there to help her out of it. Amalia is out to avenge her parents' murder once the truth is revealed. It was obvious who was behind it, but still, I enjoyed the story and Enzo.
