4.5 stars I enjoyed so much about this book. The premise alone had me wholly curious, and my curiosity was appeased. I could barely put this book down and devoured it in one go. The fact it was a parody of Romantasy books was what drew me in (I love a Romantasy book) and Lauren used the tropes and themes so very well. I appreciated the FMC’s and the difficulties they endured in the story, not just with other characters but with themselves. I liked the fact they were flawed and saw flaws in others which weren’t left to be glossed over. I want to say so much more but I hate giving spoilers. So I’ll end by saying that if you enjoy a Romantasy book and its usual tropes and themes, give this a try. Yes it’s a parody but it’s hilarious and makes for a fantastic read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
