A delightful little gem of a book! For some reason if I see the words 'marine biologist' I will read absolutely anything, but this was even better than I hoped. The formative yuri anime deep cuts! The turtles named after sailor moon characters! The homoerotic canoe teaching sequence! My main issue is that the <spoiler>third-act breakup</spoiler> felt a little obligatory but considering it's Harlequin I know I have to put up with that kind of thing. The writing is nothing extraordinary but perfectly fine and pleasant. Hit the absolute perfect energy I want from a modern-day Harlequin which is picking up an episode of a nice TV show I don't usually watch but easily get back up to speed on.
