3.9/5 The book starts off fine, but somewhere around the 10–15% mark it slips into a kind of boring-ish lull. For a long stretch, it honestly felt more like a side-story than a true continuation of the main Crowns of Nyaxia arc. At around 40%, the plot finally begins to pick up, and by 55% the story becomes genuinely engaging. I really enjoyed the personalities and backstories of the main characters — they’re well written and emotionally compelling — but the overall script just doesn’t reach the level set by the first two books. What also disappointed me is the complete lack of updates on Raihn, Oraya, or the Nightborn Kingdom. For a book that’s positioned as a continuation of the main storyline, their absence feels strange and makes this installment feel disconnected. Overall, it’s an okay read with a slow beginning, a stronger middle, and characters I cared about — but it never quite matches the intensity or quality of its predecessors.
