It's a rare instance when a book is not as good as the show/movie but this is one of those instances. I really disliked the way the author chose to write this story; jumping back and forth from 1st to 3rd person. We're already dealing with a character who has amnesia and mental instabilities because of her traumatic past, so why make it even more confusing? I would have personally loved it more if we followed Cora alone in 1st person to give the effect that we're in her head. I didn't care about anyone else and it made me sympathize with Cora less by constantly being pulled away from her POV. I love the idea, hate the execution.

I was dragging my feet through this one… It was so slow… I couldnt connect well with the characters… The show was way better than the book.
