I will start by admitting that I haven't read any of the others in this series, but it didn't feel like I needed to to be able to read this. I started out thinking this was going to be a really easy and fun read. Unfortunately didn't love this quite as much as I had hoped. I appreciated that the MC's were in their very late 30's, it was nice reading about older MC's for a change. I liked they had so much established in their lives, and their own histories. I found the concept of the fact that Linc offered a place to stay to his former bully was interesting. Harper and Kash had such a good relationship. But it just fell flat. At one point they seemed to jump from finally getting together, to suddenly declaring their love for each other, and they'd been in close proximity for all of a few weeks. The next part of the storyline felt like it was shoehorned in just keep it going that bit further. I get that they knew each other in school and everything, but it just felt a bit much. I just didn't vibe with it as much as I'd hoped and I don't know if I'll read the rest of the books in the series. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
