"This book has it all. Humor, heart, and a heroine I was desperately rooting for. Kirsty Greenwood has a new fan!”

—Colleen Hoover, New York Times bestselling author

A recently deceased woman meets “the one” in the afterlife waiting room, scoring a second chance at life (and love!) if she can find him on earth before ten days are up…

If she wasn’t dead already, Delphie would be dying of embarrassment. Not only did she just die by choking on a microwaveable burger, but now she’s standing in her ‘shine like a star’ nightie in front of the hottest man she’s ever seen. And he’s smiling at her.

As they start to chat, everything else becomes background noise. That is until someone comes running out of a door, yelling something about a huge mistake, and sends the dreamy stranger back down to earth. And here Delphie was thinking her luck might be different in the afterlife.

When Delphie is offered a deal in which she can return to earth and reconnect with the mysterious man, she jumps at the opportunity to find her possible soulmate and a fresh start. But in a city of millions, Delphie is going to have to listen to her heart, learn to ask for help, and perhaps even see the magic in the life she’s leaving behind…

“Because life is too short to wait around on a good idea.” 💭 My thoughts And sometimes ideas should just remain ideas.. Nah I'm kidding. I actually loved the idea of this plot; a girl finding love in the afterlife, but that's not really what happens. For the majority of the book, we're following the FMC around while she tries to track down this guy she's smitten with and who she thinks is smitten with her, all the while overlooking what's right in front of her. Honestly, I found it quite endearing for a little bit and then I was over it. The banter was really great though and I loved the narrator for this. ⚠️ Trigger warnings Graphic: Death, Bullying, Car accident Moderate: Sexual content, Grief, Abandonment Minor: Blood, Panic attacks/disorders [Follow my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/inkstainedemotions?igsh=aTh6eTZ6dGwxMXpy&utm_source=qr)

Hmm not a typical romcom… There were some shock factor funny moments and statements but idk the FMC was just kinda drab. She reminded me a lot of Sweetpea (hulu) show character who got bullied and lived a really uneventful bland life… Obviously this FMC didnt murder anyone like “Sweetpea”, but that might have made for more interesting plot… I liked Cooper, he had backstory, depth, and suffered loss, I think I would have preferred his POV in this. Overall this wasn’t a bad read, I’d probably give it 3.5. 🌶️ 2/5 Spice was ok in this. I wasnt super attached to the MCs but it was just ok, nothing really memorable.
