This was an emotionally heavy read that doesn’t pull its punches. The grief, sacrifice and resilience of the Dravenhearst brides was so much and I appreciated a space for those emotions instead of just rushing past them. Margot is the kind of FMC that I worry about with her delicate sensibilities but she truly is a surprise and fights for what she wants and she really wanted that HEA! I wasn't expecting the horror with this but that's just because I either glance at the blurb or forget it by the time I read the book. Regardless of my own shortfalls, the horror was interlaced well within the story. It added just a bit to keep you on the edge while still rooting for Merrick and Margot. Overall this was a hauntingly heartfelt read that leans into loss but ultimately chooses love. Definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for something a bit emotional but with the reassurance that it does have a HEA! Thank you to The Nerd Fam and the author for this eARC!
