He calls himself The Dastard—a name he's more than earned the right to claim. Having sold his soul for the ability to erase events, he now holds the future of Xanth in his dastardly grip. And the only one capable of foiling his evil plan is a most unlikely hero.

The daughter of Draco the Dragon and a human woman, Becka has never been sure if she belongs in the magical world of Xanth. Seeking her true purpose in life from the Good Magician Humphrey, she discovers that she not only belongs in Xanth—but that all of Xanth depends on her!
