This is my favorite book yet from Danica Nava! After quitting her thankless tech job, June Walker leaves her monotonous life in LA for the small town where she grew up. June then navigates burnout, anxiety, and grief, all while returning her family's ancestral allotment back to its former glory as a thriving sunflower farm and pillar of their small community. Noah Abbot is easily one of my favorite mmcs of all time. You can tell how much he loves June as a person and I just really loved how tender and patient he was with her for every part of her journey. That man would do anything for her!! This book gave me the same feelings as all my favorite comfort rewatch movies- nostalgia for farm life, small towns coming together to support one another, and a love that survives everything life throws at them. Thanks so much to Berkley for this eARC!!

This was my first Danica Nava book and I loved it so much! I can’t wait to check out her other work because this was so well written. I usually am not the biggest fan of second chance romances and there are a couple things that stopped this from being a 5 star read to me. Namely the mmc sleeping with the fmcs bully when they were apart. I really wish it had been anyone else. But honestly this author somehow made it work because I still loved this book and you can truly feel the love Noah has for June! The man is so utterly down bad for her and that’s how I like all my mmc’s. This was a sweet small town romance but it also had twists and turns and so much heartbreak. My heart was truly breaking for June and everything she had to struggle through, she truly deserved so much better. Thanks so much to Berkley and NetGalley for this eARC!!
