I cannot wait until book 2! That ending!!!! 😮 Set in Weatherstone College in a society that doesn't push schooling too early! In the magical societies children don't typically start school until they're 10 learning the basics from their families and covens first. Paisley is a reserved FMC who quickly starts to make friends as she settles into her freshman year while trying to avoid an enemy Logan, the MMC. The tension between them is amazing and spicy! The magic system is easy to follow but layered enough to feel immersive. I loved how it brings in elements from several different magic systems to create a world where multiple forms of magic exist without overshadowing each other. The worldbuilding is well balanced with just enough detail without being too heavy. It's the kind of setting that can easy expand in future books. If you love dark academia, with enemies-to-lovers tension,a bit of a mystery, and a heroine who is learning to trust her own power, this is worth picking up. Also, did you see that cover? GORGEOUS!
