“Grief is just a love song in reverse” I really liked this one, it had one of my favourite micro tropes in it so it was pretty much guaranteed to be a win for me. This was a really touching and yet tragic story filled with love. This really is a book about what love sounds like, in a multitude of ways. I loved Jo and Sasha so much. I was really worried because I truly do have songs in books and any sort of book about musicians are just not for me, but there was less singing that I was anticipating and I really enjoyed it. (The audio however was not for me) CLEM AND IWAN MENTION AND BREIF INTERACTION!! MY BABIES! oh and the authors note 😭😭😭 Her authors notes are not to be skipped and they always have me even more emotional than the book.

This is not one of my favs by this author, but was enjoyable. I did like the concept, and the magical realism in her works that also ties to loss, it makes the characters feel real and relatable.
