I really enjoyed this short story! It was a unique take on Beauty and the Beast that was easy to read in one sitting. The characters were well developed for such a small page count, and the plot was engaging from start to finish. I would have loved to see this as a longer novella with more space to explore all the really interesting things going on in this, but I also don't feel that the length detracted from the story in any way. Shaylin Gandhi really needs to write more of these fairy tale retellings, because I've LOVED the ones she's put out! I can't wait to see what she does next!
