I greatly enjoyed this book, the writing was brilliant and engaging, and the characters were well written. I really liked the use of Gaelic and Latin to represent the different languages, and the glossary at the back was really helpful (and I found myself consulting it regularly) The wording in some parts got a little confusing, as well as the fact that Niamh ends up having about 6 different names/nicknames, however I am eager to read the next book in the series! The extra chapter at the end made it a complete story in itself but also allowed the series to continue
