4.5 ⭐ This was my first book by Serena Akeroyd, and I loved the story & characters. As I was reading, I found out this is part of a world from a previous series by her and will definitely be trying those. What I loved about this book: • Nikolai is kind, caring (treats her as a goddess), and not only promises to keep her safe but constantly proves it to Cassie, but also can be ruthless to anyone outside of people he cares about • Nikolai is ott obsessed/jealous/protective (whole other level of hurt her & die, more like even hurt her feelings & die) • Good character development (loved Dimitri character as well) • Likable FMC who is the best version of herself around MMC • Original character backgrounds • Steamy/spicy scenes • Great narration. Jason Clarke does an excellent Russian accent & does Nikolai's gravely broken voice so well.
