Roaring Twenties

Taylor C. Milnes

4.17

ROARING TWENTIES is a collection of poems that encapsulate the entropy of young adulthood. The nostalgia and peace of growing older. The loneliness and solace of solitude.

The hopes that differ from expectations. All those paradoxical feelings, all those golden hours, evening walks, starless nights, unread books, late night thoughts, fantasies about the future, and new beginnings. The untold stories.

The mad decade. The lost generation. The new era.

The roaring twenties. Taylor C Milnes is an american poet and young adult fiction writer. Born in 1998, she has been writing stories since she was a little kid, and discovered her passion for poetry at sixteen.

Milnes hobbies and interests include painting, watching movies, journaling, hand-making her own journals, fashion, baking, playing trivia games, reading classic novels, and hanging out with her cat, Pippin. Taylor C Milnes has no intention of giving up writing anytime soon. She is already working on several novels, short stories, and future poetry collections.

Of all of the emotion that this poetry encompasses, nothing hit me harder than the lines, “Dying in a dream or living without one, / I don’t know which is worse.” Gut-wrenching, existential, and all-around beautiful.
