This is a detective mystery as the title of the book states, but some of these "detectives" are dumber than a bag of bricks. The setup of the book is very similar to that of "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" by Mary Higgins Clark in regards to that way the story is told through multiple third person points of views which can be kind of tricky to make sense of when first starting a book. This is due to the fact that you know absolutely none of the characters yet, also making it difficult to differentiate events one person is encountering from that of another character. That being said let me delve into the plot. Basically all the plot twists were done by 40% completion. It plateaued until the very very last page where it increased interest but only in a minuscule amount. While it was packed with death, action, guns, explosives, and tons of hacking, it was far from a mystery and a very mild thriller. While is was still somewhat entertaining it was not at all what I was expecting, and while I will be continuing the series I will more than likely never re-read.
