I absolutely loved this and need more ASAP!! The easiest way for me to describe this is it felt like a bunch of Murderbot novels crashed headfirst into all of classic movie monsters. Somehow it worked perfectly(for me). I got attached to this crew so quickly and the found family vibes were so weird but in the right way. Watching these wildly different characters come together, trust each other, and build relationships was every bit as enjoyable as the action and mystery unfolding around them. I also loved how the classic monsters I grew up with were reimagined here and it never felt gimmicky. The combination of sci-fi, horror, found family, and monster mayhem was exactly my kind of chaos.
