Keller plays for the Seattle Serpents and has been having a great season. While out with his teammates on NYE, his ice shows up after 3 years of ‘space’. Keller is not only thrown off his game but also angry that it took this long for her to come back. Chloe is Keller’s wife and after some time apart has found herself back in the same place as her husband. They must decide what is best for them as individuals, as well as a couple. I liked this story a lot. I felt a lot of feelings towards Chloe and how she left things with Keller but I felt that this was such a real-life topic that is rarely touched on. While I was frustrated with her decision to walk away from her marriage for a while, I understand that her feelings were genuine and she needed to get to know herself and figure out what she wanted in life. My only gripe with her was her lack of communication with her husband, that repeatedly happened throughout their relationship. Keller was pure ‘grump except with her’ material. He need gave up on the love he had for Chloe and never asked her to be or do anything that she didn’t want to do. Received an ARC and give my honest review
