This was such a fun and quick book to read. It was very easy to get attached to Kate and DeMarco, they make good partners for sure. I LOVED the FBI insights and how the story covered a murder mystery, but also focused on Kate's personal life and struggles. I did think the ending was very rushed and that disappointed me a little. The story does start slow and builds up to something towards the end. When you arrive at the end, suddenly within just a few chapters everything is over. You do get to know a lot of background on characters so the author might have used this book to set up the rest of the series in which case the author did a really good job.
