Hunter

The Kingdom of Maldobar is in ruin after a brutal Tibran invasion. For Thatcher Renley, the devastation is personal: his home destroyed, his family gone, and now—mistaken for a Tibran soldier—he’s imprisoned in a wartime camp.

Thatcher’s only hopes for survival are to rely on his new friend, Murdoc, a moody swordsman with a sketchy set of skills, and to plead his case directly to the queen. But getting out of the prison camp might be the least of his worries—especially after he stumbles across a feral dragon locked in an iron cell.

In his last battle, Fornax—once the kingdom's fiercest dragon—lost his sight...and the life of his rider. Since then, no one dares approach the savage beast... until Thatcher discovers an unexpected bond with him. But does he have what it takes to calm the beast, let alone join the proud ranks of Maldobar’s dragonriders?

Only time will tell. And with a bloodthirsty Tibran witch threatening to rekindle the chaos of war, everyone’s time may be running out.
