there is wisdom in this book, but the problem is: none of it comes from michaeleen. if treating your children like they're people is a new concept to you, you may benefit from this book. HOWEVER, there is enough bad advice and practice from the author herself that i would hesitate to actually recommend this book to anyone looking for real parenting help
