2/5 ⭐ 📖 My Thoughts Someone once said, in regard to another author, “their writing is like popcorn; tasty yet simple”. That’s pretty much how I feel about this. The writing wasn’t bad per se but it was a little flat. It’s a mystery/thriller though so you have to keep going even if it isn’t spectacular. WE NEED TO KNOW! I was expecting a complete twist for the end but the culprit was predictable. ⚠️ Triggers We had more triggers than plot: Murder, kidnapping, rape, sexual assault, torture, grief, stalking, confinement, gaslighting. child abuse, child death, death of parent, animal death, drug abuse & addiction, incest, and pregnancy

This was an easy read, but dragged in some parts. I wasn't exactly constantly reaching for my ereader itching to know more, but overall it was not bad. Which may be on me as a mood thing. There were some pretty predictable elements, which made sense, but easy to figure out.

Oh my goodness!!! I thought I knew what had actually happened in this book but I was so wrong! The twists and turns had me shook. Incredibly well written and the plot kept me guessing

When their mother dies, 3 siblings reunite to take care of her home and things. Beth, the oldest has been the one taking care of their mother and was there when she passes. Nicole, the middle child, is an addict and is struggling with her addiction. Micheal, the youngest, has built a new life in a new state and hasn't looked back since their father left 7 years ago. While going through their mother's things, they discover items and videos that make them ask questions about their parents. This was my first read by Jeneva and I really enjoyed it. The story had many twists and turns that I did not expect and left me confused and wondering until the end.
