3.75⭐ Fraser is flirty, kind, and insightful. Cameron is caring, thoughtful, and grumpy. He believes it is better to be alone since you won't get hurt & it's"simpler that way." Alec carries the world on his shoulders and tries to act cold and aloof towards Summer, but is eventually drawn to her against his wishes. Summer is a people pleasing influencer who has lost her sense of self while trying to be what everyone else wants her to be. She has struggled with ADHD her whole life (she also has some sensory issues). When an unflattering viral video gets out, she flees to the Scottish Highlands to get away for a bit. Then by chance ends up staying on a farm with 3 hot Scottish men. Fraser sees what she is going through after seeing the video and talking to her. Summer is touched that he cares and is worried about her, and seems to understand how she is feeling There are definitely some humorous scenes throughout. Like one where Alec barges in on her doing some "self care." had me smiling so much while reading. Summer's mother is a selfish, unemphatic who seemed never to have time for her daughter and only saw her as a challenge to deal with. Overall, this is a cute romance, which could have used some editing since it was a bit long. Cameron kissed me. For, like, two seconds. And it was amazing. Like being kissed by a big grumpy bear. “I don’t know if you’re going to listen to this, but… God. I’m sorry. I won’t keep messaging you if you don’t wanna talk. I bet you want some space. Just—” He takes a long, low breath. “Shit. Can you do one thing for me? You take care of yourself, okay? I know you were scared to go back to London. And it seems like your friends back in the city are pretty shit. So just…do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself. S’all that matters to me. If that means blocking us, then you do that. Need you to be okay.” His voice cracks. I hear a muffled bleat, and he sighs heavily. “You wanna talk to your mammy, do you? C’mere, ye wee ball of lint.” Crumpet’s familiar baa sounds right up against the phone. “She misses you,” Fraser says. “Been crying for you all day. Call me if you want to, sweetheart. I miss you too. I can’t believe it’s only been a few weeks. I…” There’s a long pause. Another sigh. “Aye. I miss you.” “When you’re afraid, it’s not your job to stop being scared. It’s our job to convince you you’re safe.” He presses closer, warm breath huffing against my cheek. “Love you,” he says simply.
