The blend of fantasy and romance felt well-balanced. Overall, it was a captivating read that held my attention throughout. However, I did find the frequent repetition throughout the story somewhat distracting. The FMC, Lia, often repeated thoughts or details as if the reader might forget them. While I understand it's a tool to reinforce certain aspects of her personality or situation, it often interrupted the flow and made the reading feel a bit redundant. Still, the positives outweighed this quirk and I will definitely continue the series, especially since book 5 is out in December!
