Grim
We thought death was the end, turns out it’s just the prologue.
RUE
I died, briefly. Then I came back. Now I’m determined to make the most of every minute I have left.
Only problem is I’ve been saddled with supervision. Kane Deveraux is handsome, smug, and cold as a tombstone. So why does he make me feel something more powerful than death?
KANE
As a reaper, I have helped crossover thousands of souls. And not one of them have touched mine…until Rue Chamberlain. She’s stubborn, reckless, and maddeningly radiant.
And for this centuries-old spirit, she’s a living woman that is absolutely off-limits. If I follow the rules, I will lose her. If I break them, I might lose everything.
Grim is a darkly romantic, wickedly funny tale of life, death, and a love that refuses to rest in peace.

4.5 ⭐ Firstly, let me say the audiobook production and voice actors were phenomenal. I highly recommend listening to this one. The emotions they were able to convey while narrating carried to the listener. There was some dark humor throughout, but it was a lot sadder at times than I anticipated. Kane saves Rue, only for her to have only nine more days to live. Kane feels a connection to her from the moment he first sees her. He knows he will be absolutely devastated when she dies. You can feel Kane's helplessness and despair, and it is gut wrenching. Rue's emotional struggle throughout the book is apparent; she is a very likable, strong character. Fate & Time are such bitches, I wish we saw more of their sister, and at the end I wish we so more of what happens with one of the characters return and the aftermath from their return. Big D was also an ass. I would have loved to see some of the characters get their comeuppance. The epilogue was a beautiful ending to the story. for the first time in many years, I feel again. Because of her. And I would trade every agonizing ounce of immortality for one more strike of the clock in this moment. Even if it’s the last one we ever have. Because Rue feels like the last page of a book I never want to finish. And if she’s going to leave this world, then I want to be the one to help her write an epic final chapter. “So, you’re willing to put your position of privilege in my very regimented society on the line because she had a chat with a doddering old man?” “I’m willing to make sure her last days matter.” “I am with you, brave girl. I am always with you. Even when I cannot be there. I am fused to you. Love knows not time and space. I am yours. In every way. In every place. In all planes of space and time, Rue, I belong to you.
