Man, I was not expecting that opening scene and all the resulting trauma from her ordeal. Pasha was unbelievably caring with her when he brought her home with him, and omg how she hugs him like a koala bear. He is so patient & understanding with her the whole time and tries his best to help her through her trauma. Asya"s trust in him is absolute and deserved. I wasn't a fan of how Pasha reacted after meeting Asya's brother. The whole, I love her too much to keep her bleh! I'm too old and not good enough for her was annoying, especially since it kept them apart for so long and they were both miserable without each other. That he never answered, he never answered her umpteen phone calls, was also frustrating in the extreme, and let's not even talk about mistaking her twin for her, ugh. WTF Death match fight “Have you ever met someone who feels like they are a missing piece of you?” I ask. “A piece you didn’t even know you were missing until they stumbled into your life? “I have the need to somehow absorb you into my chest, so you’ll always be with me. Safe from harm. Only mine. Forever.”
