This book was honestly just a great deal of fun. The perfect read for fans of Buffy or just fangirls in general. Despite dealing with some heavy triggering topics this was honestly just a cozy feel good vampire book. I loved the fan aspect of this so much and how the mc was such a fangirl, it made her so relatable and definitely made me root for her even more. I did the audiobook for this and the fact that THE Amber Benson narrated was absolutely perfect. I recognized her voice immediately but wasn’t expecting her to be the narrator as I didn’t know she recorded audiobooks. One of my favourite parts of this book was all the little book snippets and fan podcast transcripts that were included in the chapters. I’ll definitely be looking forward to future things from this author. 🌶️ 2/5

Charming, cozy, and cute! Imagine waking up inside your favorite vampire series or novel—then toss in a few crossover episodes for good measure. Normally, I’m not a fan of heavy pop culture references, but for this they work for the story and just added to the charm. Loved the twists and reveals that had me mildly gasping and wanting more. Narrator was excellent and had really great accents for each character that made them all feel unique. 🌶️2/5 A touch of spice, with a few hot-and-heavy scenes. There are some heavy topics in this so mind the TWs, I feel they were true to the character and was glad to see her take back control of her trauma in the end.
