4.25 ⭐ This was a super fun urban fantasy that had me hooked more often than not! I absolutely loved the dynamic between Sosie and Tris and the friends to lovers energy was so good! The world building and magic system are familiar but it's not a bad thing. It feels intentional rather than lazy and it made the story easy to sink into. What really elevated the world for me was how many paranormal species were included: fae, vampires, werewolves, changelings, trolls, ogres, and a myriad of shifters. It added a whole layer to the story that was welcomed. I also felt like there were either a lot of breadcrumbs for future books or a handful of very convincing red herrings. Overall, this had strong character dynamics and just enough mystery to make me want the next book. Thank you to The Nerd Fam for the gifted eARC. #daughterofthefae #thenerdfam
