It’s unfortunate that in the 21st century this book still holds so much meaning. The fact that wars are still being fought today makes it even more sad that humanity hasn’t moved past the lessons written so many centuries ago for those times. I am truly saddened that current world leaders, diplomats, and anyone involved in international relations still need to read and reflect on it. At the same time, I recommend The Art of War to anyone interested in strategy — whether in combat sports, games, or other competitive fields. Its insights go far beyond the battlefield. This is not a fast read, and that’s perfectly fine. Every sentence carries weight, and the refined knowledge within deserves to be absorbed slowly and carefully.
