This book was somehow even better than the first. I didn’t think it would be possible. It was captivating and heartbreaking. I fell more in love with Mal in this book than I thought possible. Even though we saw Mal at his worst in this book, I will continue to protect him with my life. And Maeve. Poor Maeve. My heart was breaking for her throughout this entire book but she really proved how strong she was and could be for everyone. Ok and that PLOT TWIST?! I think my heart actually fell into my stomach. I was not ready. I hated how much I loved it. If you have read it, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I need book 3 asap. I can’t wait to read it but am also scared about what Lauren is going to throw at us. This series is becoming one of my favorites ever. Oh, and team Mal. Any other answer is not accepted in this house.
