This was a memoir about the author’s life growing up. She talked about how her ideas and thought on being black changed over time. She also talked about how going through school and eventually work while dealing with certain expectations pertaining to being black and a woman. I found this pretty interesting and enjoyed the different point of view of growing up white vs black.
