Harper and her daughter Sammie have moved across the country to Tahoe and are starting over there. Harper goes looking for a job and ends up at Badger Creek lodge. While speaking with Zoey about a job, she and Sammie run into Max, and they are introduced. They slowly start seeing each other, even though Harper is extremely cautious of what she tells Max about her life before moving to Tahoe. Max slowly proves that he cares about her and her daughter and that he will be there for them. This story was so good! The cliffhanger was absolutely devastating, so I cannot wait to read the conclusion of Max and Harper's story. I swear all the scenes with Max and Sammie make me so damn happy. I love how much he cares about her right off the back. And he always makes sure she's included. Received an ARC and give my honest review
