Eva aspires to be a great investigative journalist after reading her first article by Declan Foxx. Declan is a great writer, but damn near ignores Eva anytime they see each other. When he needs an assistant, Ava applies because she wants to learn from the best. After a year of never seeing the man in person, they must crack down to figure out their current case so they meet at the office on Labor Day (they are the only ones at the office). I really enjoyed this novella! Lee Jacquot does not disappoint with her holiday novellas. Looking forward to more!
