When Mercy is visiting her father in prison, after being convicted of murder he didn't mean to commit, she finds that he was beaten up. She is extremely worried about him and his well-being. While leaving she runs into a man that knows is up to no good, Gabriel Easton, son of an infamous crime boss. He propositions her and she is appalled, slapping him. But when he father is beaten up again and again, she is desperate and finally takes Gabriel up on his offer. I enjoyed this story and look forward to finishing the series. Mercy and Gabriel have crazy chemistry and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between them. I can't wait to see what happens next.
