Kinsley and Hayden broke up 10 years ago when Hayden decided he wanted to move to Houston. Hayden hasn't been back to Valentine since, but when his dad has a stroke, he makes the decision to come home to help out with the family business. Kinsley works for the local newspaper and is given an assignment to cover the local bookstore's possible expansion, which happens to be owned by Hayden's parents. When Kinsley goes to interview about the store, she finds Hayden, and she is not happy to see him. I really enjoyed this book! It was just an overall good second chance story!
