I’ve been quiet long enough. I’m nothing like my brothers. I’ve devoted my life to my work, and I don’t care about God or family. I live alone, and I like it that way. Soon, I’ll have the job of my dreams far away from this place, and that’s all that matters.

Lucus is a college English professor. Sadie is a manager at a club and a student in Lucus's class. When a fling with an amateur special video star ends with Sadie being pregnant, she's unsure what to do. Enter Lucas Goode. He lets her stay in his guest bedroom and plans to help get her life on track. In doing so, they find out some interesting things about each other and fall into a routine. I really enjoyed this story! I loved seeing Lucus struggle with his thoughts on family and fatherhood, only to realize that he would never be like his father. I loved seeing Sadie grow as a person and find herself and figure out what she really wanted to do in life. Received an ARC and give my honest review
