  Whem Morgan gets caught in a snow storm with an injured ankle, she is worried that she won't make it. However, she is rescued by a gargoyle, Klaus, and taken back to the castle he shares with his roostmate, Emmerick, to recover. She is instantly interested in knowing more about her heroes. I really enjoyed this novella. Morgan is an interesting character and loves bats. I like that she wasn't scared to ask questions and spout out random bats facts.
