Emma is Claire's younger sister and has come to Merryville for the holidays. Hudson is Jake's older brother and is in need of some help with his son, Colby. Emma offers to help out with Colby, but Hudson is hesitant to let her get too close. When he finally agrees, Colby and Emma share a special bond, and Hudson really hopes he didn't make a mistake. With all the time that Emma is spending around Colby and Hudson, they start getting closer... but this isn't their first rodeo. They decide to keep things secret and see where things lead. I really enjoyed this story. Hudson is such a good dad and just wants the best for his son. Emma comes in and instant loves Colby and knows just how to talk to him.I loved how Emma seemed to fit right in with the family and town, like she was supposed to be there all along.
