Play Me
He’s supposed to be playing rugby—not playing me. I didn’t think it was possible to hate someone. Like utterly despise another human. Then I was hired to babysit the Royals’ newest star and found out just how wrong I was. My job should’ve been easy.

Gray is a new player for the Royals rugby team. Astrid is a personal assistant for Renn Brewer, owner of the Royals. When she is asked to PA for Gray and keep an eye on him, she wants to refuse, but could use the bonus that she is offered to pay off some debt. She finally agrees, and Gray and she come up with a plan to keep each other happy. Their hateful banter turns playful, and they start to get to know each other. I really enjoyed this one. Astrid a a spitfire and doesn't put up with anyone's shit, especially Gray's. I loved all the banter throughout the story, from the mean and nasty jabs they would fling, to the playful, witty quips. I loved Astrid's character. She was put through the ringer in the past, but she just needed the right man to get her and value her. Gray and his past demons and guilt were so heartbreaking. He just needed to finally see that the things that happened weren't his fault and that he was not responsible for them either. Received an ARC and give my honest review
