Holiday has returned to her hometown after years abroad honing her pastry skills and ending her engagement. She agrees to work at the bakery on the Jolly Tree Farm. Her and Lucas were once the best of friends, but when she left, his heart was shattered. When he learns that Memaw has entered him and Holiday as a team into the annual cookie contest, he tries to figure out a way to get out of it but can't. They must find a way to work together and come up with a unique and delicious cookie. I loved this one! Lyra loves to make her characters work for it and Holiday and Lucas definitely do. I loved the banter and chemistry they had even while they 'hated' each other. Lucas wanted to hate Holiday so bad, but he just couldn't. They were just made for each other and they just needed the time to work through their issues. Received an ARC and give my honest review
