Saylor is a photographer and has been hired to take pictures within a swamp preserve. She gets really into her work and loses track of time, so by the time she starts heading home, it is dark, and she gets a bit lost in the woods. When she hears a loud noise, she is confused and decides to head toward it. What she finds leaves her panicking. I really enjoyed this one! I was waiting to read Jed's story from the first book and was not disappointed. Jed is such a sweetheart and falls quickly for Saylor. Despite his upbringing and chainsaw-wielding ways, he is so easy to love, and I loved seeing Saylor realize how much he cared for her.
