Cinder & the Prince of Midnight

Susan Ee

4.06

An orphan girl. A dark and twisted kingdom. An ongoing shadow war resulting in enslaved fairies.

This is the world of Cinder. A world where a girl like her can be sold to be human prey for a ritualistic hunt.

But on this night, even the predators might have something to fear. On this night, even a royal prince might find himself trapped by the expectations of the Dark King . . . and a girl like no other.

This was a short little Cinderella retelling. It was quick, engaging, short and sweet. In this retelling Cinder (ella) lives in Midnight a town ruled by an evil king. She is sold into 'the hunt' every full moon by her stepmother in return for coin. Its basically Hunger Games meets Cinderella, and I'm not complaining! The fairy god mother is replaced by a wild fairy, which are known to be vicious creatures. Plus Cinder knows how to kill a man twuce her size. Whats not to love?!
