⭐️3.5 I had such high hopes for this book, and to start with it was going really well, I enjoyed being introduced to Cora and Haides, the first meeting and the scene in the woods was incredible. The spicy scenes were well written. However, there were aspects of this book that seemed incredibly inconsistent, like when Haides went into hiding only to appear at Cora’s doorstep out of the blue? It felt very much like the insta-love trope (which I’m not a fan of personally). The twist at the end was very clever but I also feel like that could’ve been explained a bit more in detail, it seemed like Haides and Cora just kind of… accepted it right off the bat, which threw me a bit. The ending was amazing though and the art at the end 😍 (the art added .5 to the rating)
