This was a super cute read, and I really enjoyed how well most of the characters matched their Disney movie versions. It felt like it could genuinely take place within the Beauty and the Beast world. That said… Belle felt a little off. She came across as way too naive and oblivious at times - definitely not the sharp, intuitive Belle we know and love. Also, I wish the ending had given us a little more. I get where the story fits in the bigger picture, but it would’ve been nice to actually see some of it play out on the page.
