3.75 stars I enjoyed the overarching story but felt it lacked in places, specifically world building and character development. It is by no means an awful book but I felt there could be more to it. I did enjoy the sprinkle of Welsh folklore, being Welsh, and having the story in Wales but nonetheless, this couldn't completely save a somewhat under seasoned fantasy book. Criticism aside, I enjoyed the book and would read from this author again.
