One dream: become the top-ranked Grandmaster in the world. One obstacle: Vince Rossi. The mobster’s strong-armed his way into my life, jeopardizing everything. My father murdered, me on the hook for his debt, my guardian thinks he controls my life. But I’ll do whatever it takes to gain the advantage, including sharing a bed with my extorter. When freedom is your endgame, sacrifices have to be made.

As the Parisi family oddsmaker, I don’t believe in luck; I believe in the vig. Until sports betting became legal and the odds were stacked against me. Years spent building the biggest sports book kingdom in the state of Jersey, and it all comes crashing down with the stroke of a politician’s pen. What could save my crumbling castle? An eighteen-year old brat who hates me with every fiber of her being. The little chess star owes me. The problem is, Luna Barone is starting to own me…and my dormant heart. When secrets are revealed, I don’t have to be an oddsmaker to predict how this game will end.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when the Parisi family we try to deceive.
