L.J. Ross has such a skill for character development, 12 books in and I’m still learning about the characters we met in book 1 and i appreciate them more as the series goes on. Frank and Denise are adorable, their relationship really shines in this one and it’s just beautiful. Somehow the pacing of the plot is just perfect too, I’m never ever bored reading these books. I’d have finished the series a year ago, but I’m trying to drag it out for as long as possible because I love this world 🥹

Another DCI Ryan story that I loved from beginning to end. I always look forward to a new release of these stories, and will stop reading whatever is currently on the go as soon as it's released.
