Wow. Just.. wow. When I started this book, I thought it’d be just like We Were Liars, but it was actually so much better. I related to Carrie a lot more than I did Cadence, and I liked this story a lot more. I genuinely wasn’t expecting Carrie to murder Pfeff. Before the shit that happened with him and Penny, I almost considered him a book boyfriend. But, that obviously didn’t last very long. Also, the LGBT rep in this book.. chefs kiss. I genuinely enjoyed the backstory about the parents. You saw more of why they were the way they were. The thing with Rosemary destroyed me internally. She deserved so much better than that :(. Overall, I give this book 4.5/5 stars. I probably won’t read it again, but it was genuinely good.
